What is lost when we copy a digital file over and over again? To what extent is the medium as accurately reproducible as we’d like to think? Where is the noise coming from?

If reproduction removes the aura, the here-and-now, then what is accumulated over these 1000 reproductions (of reproductions)?

Are we listening and watching the medium itself? The medium-ness of the medium? (LOL.)
